Processing ACL shuts off my Xbox...

Postby jfahlman » Sat May 03, 2008 00:28

Hiya! I download backups of the games I bought off newsgroups, and then use DVD2XBOX to copy them to my Xbox hard drive from the Xbox DVD drive. It used to give me a nice 100% complete message when it was done, but recently it started to kill power during the "Processing ACL step" instead. Even though the Xbox shuts off, when I restart it the games seem to work fine, but before I continue using it I am concerned that something may be missing or copying over incorrectly. Has anybody else had this problem, what causes it, and what can I do about it? Thanks for your time and consideration!

Actually, JUST IGNORE the above post. To fix the problem, I just used Slayers 2.7 to reinstall my apps only (including DVD2XBOX .7.7), and the problem went away! Maybe leave this post here for others to refer to, I did a lot of web searches about DVD2XBOX rebooting at ACL Processing and came up with nothing.

reboot

It's a long time ago that I did something on dvd2xbox to remember all it's functionality. But there was a function to shutdown the xbox after the copy was successful . The clean install might wiped your config and used the defaults.
